Support for the implementation of the social climate fund : note on good practices for cost-effective measures and investments

  • The Social Climate Fund (SCF), established by the Social Climate Fund Regulation, aims to support vulnerable households, micro-enterprises and transport users impacted by the inclusion of greenhouse gas emissions from buildings and road transport within the scope of Directive 2003/87/EC. This note aims to identify good practices for cost-effective measures and investments that may be included by Member States in their SCPs in line with Article 6(4) of SCF Regulation. It also provides practical advice on how to design and implement the measures and investments in a cost-effective way, and how to avoid pitfalls.
